Q: How long should I charge my device for?
A: Usually the Status will come with a partial charge, but we do not recommend charging for more than 2 hours at a time.
Q: How do I turn my device on?
A: In order to turn on your device, simply click the button 5 times fast and wait for the temperature to preheat. Once it hits the preheat temperature, you can raise or lower it to your desired temperature.
Q: How do I remove my mouthpiece?
A: Hold your device with the screen facing you, and lightly push on the base of the mouthpiece from the back, towards you. Your mouthpiece should pop off easily.
Q: Where can I get replacement screens for my Status?
A: You can use The Kind Pen app to register your device and order a new mouthpiece under warranty, which will come with replacement screens. Some smoke shops will also cut screens for you themselves if you bring one in to show the dimensions.
Q: What temperature should I be using my device on?
A: This is up to personal preference, but we usually recommend heating your device between 380-410 degrees.
Q: How do I change my temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit, or vice versa?
A: In order to change temperature format, wait until your device warms up, then hold the power button and ‘-‘ symbol for 3 seconds(or until the format changes to C). To change back to Fahrenheit, hold the power button and the ‘+’ symbol.
Q: How do I clean my herb chamber?
A: We recommend cleaning your chamber after every 1-2 uses, with a q tip and rubbing alcohol. Never soak your device in any liquid, as it will destroy your battery.
Q: How do I clean my mouthpiece?
A: We recommend soaking your mouthpiece with screen off in warm sudsy water and using the included brush to scrub any residue off.
Q: What should I do if my battery will not heat up?
A: If your battery does not seem to be heating normally, it may need to be replaced. But don’t worry! It’s covered under warranty, so you can just use The Kind Pen app and register with your serial number to order a new “Main Unit” for your device. You will only be responsible for shipping charges.
